Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises the Information Unit
- Advises the Local Government on matters relating to information dissemination.
- Issues Press Releases on the directives of the Chairman.
- Coordinates collection, collation and release of information on behalf of Local Government/Local Council Development Area
- Assessment of the impact of Government’s programme and projects on populace and create feedback mechanism.
The information department was established alongside with the establishment of the local government.
