Alimosho flags off Meningitis A vaccination for children

Alimosho local government today kick start Meningitis A vaccination for children between ages 9 and 15 months old.

The event which took place today at Bola Tinubu Primary Health center was attended by the local government medical officer, nursing mothers’, stakeholders in the local government amongst others.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon ably represented by the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Rasheed Abolade said “it is important that all mother’s within the local government present their babies for vaccination to prevent Meningitis”.

Alimosho LG sets to complete Aregbesola Primary School

 

Alimosho Local Government is set to complete the construction of a storey building with 10 blocks of classroom and vocational center at Aregbesola primary school.

The vice Chairman and Supervisor for works, Hon. Adebisi Francis said “the completion process of the construction will commence next week”

It will be recalled that Aregbesola Primary School was part of 2019 budget of Alimosho Local Government. Hon. Jelili Sulaimon is working hard to ensure no stone is left unturned to achieve adequate implementation of the budget.

The chairman further said “The project was not abandoned, We are just trying to put some logistics in place to ensure we complete the project once and for all. The education of our young ones remain our priority.”

Rehabilitation work commences at Ogunlana Street

The department of works and infrastructure, Alimosho Local Government commences rehabilitation of the busiest alternative road in Alimosho Local Government, Ogunlana Street and Olufemi Adebanjo street.

This route serves thousands of motorist daily, it links Idimu Iyana-ipaja road to Akowonjo road.

The vice-chairman and supervisor for works in Alimosho appealed to users of the road to drive carefully and bear with the government during the rehabilitation of the road.

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho, Hon Jelili Sualimon said our priority is to create enabling environment for people in Alimosho, we are poised to make Alimosho a model in Nigeria.

It will be recalled that in recent weeks, the department of works, Alimosho local government had been seen on various street for road rehabilitation.

The Executive chairman appeals to resident and business owners to pay their rates so that the government can do more for the people.

Alimosho Local Government repairs bad roads

 

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon and his team have moved back to the street on road rehabilitation. The alternative link road from Egbeda to Iyana Ipaja, Miccom, Odenunmi and Fajumobi is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

The Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Works, Hon. Francis Adebisi said, “we are ready to make all our roads motorable for residence of Alimosho.” He implored road users to be patience with the government, gradually we will get to your hood.

The road which serves thousand of road users daily will enable smooth movement of vehicles from Egbeda to Iyana Ipaja.

It will be recalled that the government just rehabilitated Akowonjo road and construction is ongoing at BenEsther street as well as Azeez Ayorinde street.

Olorunsheyi foundation donates wheelchair to Alimosho physically challenged

 

The Olorunsheyi Foundation had donated Ten wheelchairs for physically challenged people in Alimosho. The donation was made in conjunction with Alimosho Local Government at Bola Tinubu Primary Health Center Akonwonjo on Monday, 22nd July, 2019.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Olorunsheyi Sunday, the founder of the Olorunsheyi foundation said it is in communication of his 40th birthday alongside his wife. He said the foundation recently supported five startup businesses with one million naira each, they also distributed forty one GCE forms for people within Alimosho. All these activities cut across the three cardinal point of the foundation viz Education, health and poverty alleviation.

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon applauded the impact of Mr. Olorunsheyi to the community, ‘he is really giving back to the society’. Hon. Jelili Sulaimon referred to him as “a rear specie. We want youths and business owners to emulate him in giving back to the society.”

It will be on record that Pertinence Limited, a company owned by Mr. Olorunsheyi is currently constructing Tinuola close for the benefit of the community.

Mrs. Mojeeb Fumilayo, speaking on behalf of the recipients appreciated the kind gesture of the foundation and the local government.

Alimosho LG commence construction, rehabilitation of major roads

 

Azeez Ayorinde: Drainage and road construction
BenEsther: Drainage and road contruction
Akowonjo road: Road rehabilitation, drainage distillation and construction commence

The administration of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon had commenced the construction of Azeez Ayorinde Street. It will be recalled that few weeks ago the commissioning programme of the road was held. The road when completed will serve as an alternative road to Egbeda Iyana Ipaja road.

The residence of BenEsther also woke up to the appearance of excavator as promised by the Executive Chairman. “The perennial flooding challenge has finally been nailed. Thanks to Hon. Jelili Sulimon.” Said a resident in the area.

The administration had also commenced repair of Akowonjo road. Yesterday, the drainage was distilled and repair has commend. The road repair will follow immediately.

The supervisor for Work and Vice Chairman, Hon. Prince Adebisi Francis assured resident of commencement of all bad roads in Alimosho to ease movement of vehicles.

Hon. Francis said “the rain is over, we are set to commence road rehabilitation. We have identified streets and roads for rehabilitation, contractors will start moving to site”

It will be recall that this administration constructed Ogo Oluwa street, Olatinpo Street, an ultra modern primary health center among others.

Alimosho LG set to partner AEI

 

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon in a meeting with the Coordinators of Academic Excellence Initiative had concluded arrangement to partner with the organization in their forthcoming 2019 Scholars day.

The Executive Chairman has been scheduled to be the Chief host of the event. The programme is a yearly competition where students in Secondary School compete in Three subjects, Namely, Mathematics, English Language and Civic Education.

The programme is scheduled to hold on 4th of May, 2019 at Eco Event center with the theme Digital Transformation: Trends in Education.

At the end of the competition, the first school will cart away with two hundred and fifty thousand naira while the runner up will go home with one hundred and fifty thousand naira.

The event is a yearly programme that celebrates Academic Excellence in our Secondary schools.

The Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Department of Alimosho Local Government is set to empower widows within the local government.

The programme which is scheduled to hold on April 25th, 2019 at the Alimosho local government secretariat is an empowerment for hundreds of widows within Alimosho.

Since the beginning of the administration of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, widows programme remains a periodic activity in the local government.
