Alimosho Mayor meets M.K.O Abiola’s Daughter


The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon today met with Mrs Hafsat Abiola, daughter of late M.K.O Abiola, to discuss developmental initiatives for Alimosho Local Government.

Hon. Jelili Sulaimon expressed his willingness to take Alimosho to the next level through infrastructural, economic and human development.

Hon. Jelili showed his readiness to collaborate in the area of establishing International zoological garden that will serve as tourist hub in Southwest and first of its kind in Lagos State. He equally discussed technical vocational education for Alimosho youth especially students within primary 5 and 6 among others.

Mrs. Hafsat Abiola was amazed with the zeal of the chairman in moving Alimosho forward. She said “there is a correlation between the zeal you have and that of China in the area of development.”

Mrs. Hafsat, representing Kudirat initiative for Democracy said “this idea and initiative is unprecedented, the chairman of a Local Government giving so much attention to development”

She said “We will be visiting Alimosho Local Government alongside some international organization and important personalities, to discuss further and experience the atmosphere”

Mrs. Hafsat said they will work on strategic empowerment for women in Alimosho as well as focus on train the trainers in the area of family health care.

The visitation is part of the collaborative drive of Hon. Jelili to attract international organization for Mass empowerment and job opportunities.

There is no gainsaying that the Executive Chairman of Alimosho is standing on the shoulder of Giants to see farther and do more.

Lagos State Civil Service Commission encourage Alimosho Staff

Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government host representative of Lagos State Civil Service Commission at Alimosho Local Government Secretariat as they discuss staff welfare.
During the visit, Mr. Ajomale representing Ikeja division applaud the Executive Governor of Lagos State for recruiting new staff for the local government. He uses the opportunity to enjoined the staff to be more productive and be a good ambassador of the local government.

“Avoid lackadaisical attitude to work, lateness and absenteeism should be grossly checked” said Mr. Ajomale
Mr. Babs representing Badagry Division commend Hon. Jelili Sulaimon for providing conducive environment for staff. He further solicited for support for the chairman from all HODs. He commends the chairman for constructing a modern and befitting administrative block for staff.

Lagos State Government commend ongoing projects in Alimosho LG

The Lagos State Government has commended ongoing projects in Alimosho Local Government. The State Government doing a working visit of Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs.

After the inspection of three ongoing projects in Alimosho Local Government, Mr. Ogunjobi, who lead the visitation team has no choice but to commend the effort of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon in providing quality infrastructure for the people of Alimosho.

The inspected projects include the two storey administrative building ongoing in the Local Government secretariat. According to Mr. F. A. Alutoge, Head of Works, Alimosho Local Government, the administrative building will cater for 50 offices en-suite and legislative chamber for the council. It is an eyesore that the local government is short of accommodation. When the building is completed, it will provide a better working environment for the local government staff.

The second project is the modern primary health center located at Akowonjo bus stop. The health center is at the completion stage and will provide better health services for the people of Alimosho with modern facilities. The HOD works said “the center will not only have a modern structure, it will be equipped with modern medical facilities”.

The ongoing construction of Aregbesola primary school is the third place of call. The building is expected to have 10 classrooms with staff rooms and adequate toilet facilities. The building is a replacement of the old Jakande structure, which is outdated and no longer conducive for learning.

While speaking on the project duration, Hon. Adebowale Adeshanu, the supervisory councilor for works said “the projects will be completed within the next four months.” He said, “the current administrative is doing everything possible to make live easy for Alimosho residence.” Speaking about patching of roads in Alimosho, the Supervisory councilor said the next stage of activities in the work department will be patching of road. “Let the people of Alimosho expect us very soon on roads.” He said.

Considering the plan and ongoing projects of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon and his team, we can conclude that this administration is reconstructing Alimosho.
