The Public Private Partnerships Unit was established in 2017 by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Jelili  Sulaimon to herald new developments and corporate partnerships within Alimosho Local Government.

The areas of collaboration cut across all sector ranging from construction, education, health, empowerment and internal collaboration.

Recently, Alimosho Local Government made history being the first local government in Nigeria to partner the United Nations on International Day of the Girl Child Campaign. The campaign which equally received support from corporate organisations was a success thereby becoming a vocal point for government and non-governmental organisations.

The Oja Irorun is one the administration’s success stories. The market was a fulfilment of Hon. Jelili Campaign promises to connect local farmers to the city in order to force food stuff prices down within the local government Area. Various food items like, yam flour, garri, yam, palm oil, vegetable oil, pepper, tomatoes, goat-meat, etc are being sold within the market.

Meanwhile, there are focus on developing partnership in the education and the health sector in order to improve on the lives of our people in Alimosho local government.

The Unit is headed by Yusu Oladimeji.

 

About the Head

Yusuf Oladimeji David is the special Assistant to the Executive Chairman on Public Private Partnerships. He is a graduate of Mass Communication with professional Diploma in Public Relations. He has attended several local and international leadership trainings.

He also worked in the private sector before he joined the administration in 2017. In 2009, he joined BHS International Limited; concessionaires of Tafawa Balewa Square as Branding and Marketing Communication Executive, and floated Platinum – Ark properties in 2014, a company with interest in sale, leasing and property development.
